HOW IT WORKS
You can enter as a band or a solo/duo
A band consists of three or more members
A solo/duo can only contain 1 or 2 members
REQUIREMENTS:
- You must be between the ages of 5-18
- You cannot be signed to a label
- You can enter in one act only.
Step 1: Enter
Sign up on the Tīwerawera Sign-up page with your band details. Follow the instructions carefully and make sure you fill out all the correct details You will need to select your category, either Band or Solo/duo, and enter the contact details of the act's members (so have these ready!).

STEP 2: Promote yourself
After you have completed your signup. Start promoting! The bigger the crowd the bigger the chance! Bring your Whānau and Friends and make sure they grab a $5 token to vote for you!
STEP 3: perform
At the Finals, Each act will perform 1 song or a mash-up / 5 minutes. After watching the acts perform, the crowd/ judges will select the winners of the Tīwerawera. Solo-Duos and Band's are voted in the same category at this stage
What can I play?
Anything! You are more than welcome to play covers, originals, or rearrangements of your favorite song. You have 5 minutes on stage to play one song for the heats so make the most of it!
How is it judged?
The competition is largely based on crowd votes. although the event is free entry in order to vote, you must acquire a $5 voting token at the voting table and place your token into the box of your chosen band.
The voting station won't be available until all bands perform in your allocated time slot
50% of the results will be based on your audience votes
50% of the results will be decided by guest judges
